Mrs Meena

Mrs Meena is our quirky next door neighbor. She is the stereotype of a typical marwari housewife and often speaks in matters she doesn't understand. One fine day when Mrs. Meena happened to visit our house, my mom showed her the new Black & Decker chopper and whisker that she had bought. She was describing it to her that what a good piece of technology it was and how helpful it was for her in day to day life, not only finely cutting the veggies but also how fast she was now able to cut it and make different sabzis out of it. Mrs Meena was also listening everything intently and judging by the look on her face, she too wanted that piece of technology. And when Mrs Meena realized how much she wanted that as well, she quickly jumped to the topic of pricing and asked my Mom how much did it cost. My Mom then told her that she'd bought it online from Flipkart.com as she had some Coupons left with her from her previous buy. Also she had made her purchase through gopaisa.com so she availed a further 10% Cashback and price of the product came down from 3300 to 2445 which she said, was the lowest that she could go on a Black & Decker product. Listening to this Mrs Meena's eyes got bigger and with a look surprise she exclaimed, " you bought it online!! That means no seeing the product in hand, no demo and the biggest thing, no Bargain!!!" My mom smiled at these novice questions of Mrs Meena and explained her that how there are online demos and there is warranty on the product and also the seller guarantee so that she doesn't have to worry about the quality of the product. Even after listening to all this Mrs Meena remained skeptical and refused to believe that it was a good buy, her biggest querry being that how can someone buy anything where they cant even get to bargain! And before my mom could tell her that how it was a good bargain for her, Mrs Meena gave a call to her son, said something and rushed home! Hehhe!
